CorTec is a highly integrated provider of brain-computer interface (BCI) and neuromodulation solutions for active implantable medical devices. Based in Freiburg, Germany, we collaborate with global partners across the entire development lifecycle—from initial concept to commercial manufacturing—as a single, integrated partner.

Products & Services
CorTec covers the full development and manufacturing chain for active implantable devices. Our electrode portfolio spans peripheral, cortical, spinal, and deep brain applications, with configurations ranging from cuff and percutaneous leads to DBS and paddle electrodes. On the electronics side, we develop the miniaturized electronic systems, signal acquisition hardware, and the closed-loop firmware and software that drive implantable devices.
Silicone overmolding is handled in-house, giving us direct control over the biocompatible encapsulation of complete implantable assemblies. Our development services cover the full arc from feasibility and concept through prototype, verification, and design freeze, across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
Manufacturing is quality-system-integrated throughout, with regulatory documentation, process validation, and GMP-compliant production built into every project from the start.
